Many vacation in Jamaica or elsewhere in the Caribbean for the beauty and tranquility found throughout the region. However, the best part by far is the people! Kind, warm, and welcoming.

Lost in the charm and hospitality is the need. 

Jamaica’s real GDP has grown at an annual average of only 0.8% from 1990 to 2019—below the Latin America and Caribbean regional average of 2.7%.**

In Jamaica, the percentage of the population living below the official poverty line was 19.3% in 2017* & 21% in 2020**.

This leaves many young boys alone and vulnerable to gangs and desperation.

According to the WorldBank, Strengthening social safety nets is crucial for protecting vulnerable populations during crises. **

"One of Jamaica's biggest assets is its youth, and unlocking their potential is key to the country's economic future." **

This is where the Boy's Home of Mt Pleasant comes in. We will provide shelter and care to the young boys who need it most. 

FINALLY!! We can see some key support structures being built! The construction teams are hard at work preparing and building key components in advance of the main facility building.

We are excited to announce that we are actively seeking new donors and other non-profits to come alongside to help us achieve our goal! This main construction phase will require an additional $250,000 USD to complete before moving to the Phase 3 operational stage.
